“Little Lacy’s” Junior Golf
This summer golf program hosted by RiverWatch Golf & Resort is free and open to young golfers ages 8-18. The clinics run from May 15th through August 1st every Wednesday morning from 9-11 am. This instructional and playing program focuses on critical skills and concepts in the game of golf including:
- Rules, ethics and integrity of the game
- Social skills associated with the game and everyday life
- Care for the course
- Fundamentals of the swing
- Competitive skills
- Physical development associated with becoming a golfer
Kids will have the opportunity to learn through one on one and group coaching, on course playing time, and weekly challenge events. As a part of the program kids will also be asked to volunteer their time during the annual American Junior Golf Association’s Championship 5-day long tournament (July 1st – 5th). Volunteering during this event will give participants the opportunity to interact and connect with other Junior golfers that regularly compete on the international stage with/ against the best Junior golfers in the world.
At the end of the summer our Junior Golfers will have the opportunity to put their new-found skills into practice with an end of the program Tournament.
End of the summer awards and participation promotions will be given to each golfer.
NEW this season our Junior golf program will also include a camp out for parents/ guardians and children. The camp out will include an overnight stay with cook-out, campfire, night golf, a lesson session, breakfast, group meeting and departure briefing. Dates TBD.
